Having begun his career as an engine room officer on-board a ship, his first-hand experience provided him with the foundations upon which to build a highly successful career.

Over the years, he has worked in various roles, including Engineer Superintendent & Fleet Manager. Upon joining DNV, he began to specialize and develop expertise in Maritime Safety and Risk Management, a professional area in which he is considered to be an expert and where he has contributed to the development and implementation of ‘beyond compliance’ best practices.

Kaveh has worked closely with some of the largest ship owners and managers operating large fleets of ocean-going vessels. He has monitored and audited the most advanced Safety Management Systems for these companies and collaborated with experts at all levels. As a result, Kaveh has emerged as one of the most trusted figures in the industry.

Kaveh’s integrity, strict principles and passion for his work has been appreciated by his colleagues and industry experts for the last four decades.
